papadeath Gross. I like it. Could be a bit more entertaining, but it's a classic.

6.5/10 Favorite track: Fucking of Sacred Assholes.

calebfanac Really messed up shit. Ahead of its time. Not as weird as I had been led to believe it would be, but ridiculous nonetheless. The screaming especially is crazy out there. love it. Favorite track: Raping of Angels.

saturn999 Blasphemous and dirty. So good.

N. Lord I don't think I'll ever know what to make of this album. The production is downright bizarre; the bass and drums are clearly the focal point here, which is atypical to say the absolute least. Considering Ledney's talents on percussion, though, it perhaps makes sense in hindsight. It's a testament to black metal that something this bizarre was made all the way back in 1993. Favorite track: Weeping in Heaven.

about

Without a doubt this album stands strong as one of the most significant Black Metal releases ever!!! Released in 1993 on Candlelight Records, the debut full length CD of HAVOHEJ (Jehovah spelled backwards) came forth originally as a vessel for continuing the PROFANATICA legacy. It features what some consider the best versions of many PROFANATICA classic blasphemies as well as a few newer tracks never before recorded. More than any other recording to date, this release showcases an exceptionally unique drumming style that merges with the guitar riffs in a way that no other band has ever managed to come close to. This IS the essence of evil and blackness with each and every sinister guitar riff, complimented by a signature vocal style that truly embodies the meaning of true Unholy Black Metal. This re-issue has a reworked layout with additional artwork, liner notes & corrected track list which creates a package that by far rivals the original .
